Check in at the hotel in Guwahati. This city of Assam is located on the bank of the mighty River Brahmaputra. In one side you will see the sites of tantric Hinduism and in other side the flamboyant metro culture of the city which flaunt with latest signs of globalization. We arrange a half-day tour in Guwahati. You tour the Kamakhya temple, one of the holiest dhams of Hinduism where the fertility organs of Goddess Kali is worshipped by Hindu devotees. You also visit Sankerdev Kalakhetra. In the evening enjoy a boat cruise on the mighty River Brahmaputra.
After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 02 : Guwahati - Bomdila ( 232 kms-5 hour-drive )
In the early morning, you will check out the Guwahati hotel. Then our representative will take you to Bomdila, one of the beautiful destinations of Arunachal which overlooks the panoramic views of mighty Himalayas. On the way drive you will cross the scenic locations of Assam and Arunachal. If you are a nature lover each sight will be a feast to your eyes.
At the gateways to Arunachal, you have to show your inner line permit. Apart from Assam, all the states of north-east ask inner line permit from the Indian and foreign citizens.
Enroute you visit the Tipi Orchidarium, the third largest orchid garden in Asia which is a home to around 7500 orchids. Then again drive to Bomdila which is located at an altitude of 8500 feet above sea level. On arrival check in at the hotel or tourist lodge.
Bomdila is itself beautiful to thrill you. You will surprise to see how people still live in close harmony with nature. You may slap globalization for a day if you are a pure solitude lover. If you are a gadget kind of person you feel hard to spend the days.

Day 03 : Bomdila - Tawang ( 185 kms-4 hours )
In the early morning you will visit the Bomdila Buddhist Monastery which is a centre of the Lama faith of Mahayana Buddhism. This monastery is built as an imitation of the Tsona Gontse Monastery, located at Tsona in South Tibet. Tsona Gontse Rinpoche built this monastery in 1966. The Tibetan Buddhist monks left Tibet after the Chinese invasion and took shelter here. Explore the Shopping centre and you feel virtually the Himalayan Buddhist culture here.
Then you will be driven to Tawang. On the way you have to cross the Sela Pass, the second highest pass in the world. The altitude of the pass is 14000 feet. During the winter it is not possible to cross the path due to high snowfall. Till October only it is possible to visit Tawang. So the best time to tour Tawang is in between June to October.

Day 04 : Tawang Monastery Tour
Why do Buddhist tourists from the entire world want to tour Tawang Buddhist Monastery, the largest in India and second largest in Asia? You may think due to the size. Certainly not, Tawang is awfully beautiful and located at a high elevation overlooking the snow-clad mountains of Himalayas. Here you see the vibrant Buddhist culture practiced by the monks at the palace like century old monastery. It is said that His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama after fleeing from Tibet first took shelter in Tawang Monastery.
Indeed your main attraction will be the monastery. But don’t miss the natural beauty of the mountain lake and the lifestyle of the Monpa tribes. Visit the Tsongeswar Lake, Paradise Lake, and Craft Centre. Finally tour the Tawang Buddhist Monastery. The main attractions of the monastery are the three-storied Parkhang library, the assembly hall, the printing press, its residential buildings, etc. It can accommodate a total of 700 monks together. Interact with the lamas. Visit the Crafts centre and shop the local handicrafts.

Day 05 : Tawang - Bhalukpung (285 kms)
In the early morning drive to Bhalukpung located on the border of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. It is a land of gripping scenic beauty and one of the famous picnic spots in Assam.
Reaching Bhalukpung, take the hotel. Today just enjoy the natural beauty of the spot. After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 06 : Bhalukpung ( jungle safari & river rafting )
Bhalukpung tour mainly covers wildlife safari in the Nameri National Park and river rafting on the Jia Bharali River. After breakfast, gear up for the river rafting over the Jia Bharali River. On the bank of the river is located the Nameri National park which houses the endangered white winged wood duck. Explore the wildlife.
After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 07 : Bhalukpung - Guwahati (06 hrs)
Drive to Guwahati and on the way you can tour the monuments in Tezpur city. The main attractions are temples. Reaching Guwahati take the hotel. After dinner stay overnight.
Day 08 : Guwahati - Departure
Take your flight back home at the Guwahati Airport to your onward destination.
