Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Upon your arrival at Delhi International Airport, our representative will welcome you to your Buddhist Art and Learning Tour to Dharamsala. He will take to the hotel and assist you to complete the check-in formalities. Take rest at the hotel. In the evening, our representative will take you for an evening tour. Explore the India Gate. Then a dinner will be served to you at a famous dining venue of Delhi.
Day 02 : Delhi - Chakki Bank (By Train)
After breakfast, you will enjoy a full day sightseeing tour in Delhi. The tour covers sightseeing of Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, Humayun's Tomb Qutub Minar, Lotus temple, Laxmi Narayan temple and Akshardham Temple. At last you visit the World Buddhist Centre located in south Delhi. It is one of the famous Buddhist meditation centre cum retreats. In the evening, our representative will transfer you to the railway station where you will board your train to Chakki Bank.
Day 03 : Chakki Bank - Dharamshala
In the early morning, you will reach Chakki Bank. Our representative will meet you and drive you to Dharamsala which is about 160 kms away from the railway station. On arrival, take the hotel. Take rest.
In the evening just explore the Dharamsala town. The Tibetan refugees live in the town. They brought their art and culture while they fled Tibet in 1959 during the Chinese Invasion. You can explore the handicrafts market. Savor a Tibetan dinner. Stay overnight.
Day 04 : Dharamshala
The whole day is devoted to your monastery visit in Dharamsala. The main monasteries you tour today are Namgyal Monastery, Namgyal Institute and Tse-Chok Ling Gompa. Namgyal Monastery is founded by His Holiness, 14th Dalai Lama. This monastery is a replica of the Namgyal Monastery of Lhasa in Tibet which was founded by the second Dalai Lama, Gendun Gyatso in the 16th century. The Namgyal Institute is one of the premier institutes which offer courses on Buddhist Studies. Interact with the monks.
You can buy some handicrafts at the markets. Also explore the Kangra valley. After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 05 : Dharamshala - Delhi (By Train)
On the 5th day of Dharamsala Tour, take the train at Chakki Bank railway station. On reaching Delhi our representative will accommodate you at the hotel. If you can manage your time you can do the last day shopping in Delhi. After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 06 : Delhi
Your Buddhist tour to Dharamsala comes to an end. Our representative will transfer you timely to the airport.
